it was good to talk to you about the phone on the Opencoin project.

The project will create an open source implementation of the digital
cash system, based on the work ofDavid Chaum, extending the system 
to allow  restricted anonymity and deliver a prototype of the  complete
system, including anend-user ready client, ideally on the mobile phone.

Within this project we  would like to research those  extensions of the
protocols, the overall design of our architecture and would also be very
interested in communicating the findings to the interested community.

We are currently seeking a grant from the LDA, under the Sme Innovation
Programme.  We are seeking academic partners in both the crypographic
and legal/regulatory fields. Within the budget we would have about £7,500
available for the help by the academic involved in the cryptographic side.

Enclosed you can find the current draft version of the project proposal,
which we hope already gives some  insight into the project, its goals and
the project plan.
